If you’re taking a look at our site with a view to starting diving, you might wonder where you learn all the skills you need before going into open water. We run pool sessions every Wednesday at Pershore Leisure Centre, where all levels of divers learn and practise different skills.
In March 2019, we took a camera into the pool for an unrehearsed look at what was going on. We had Zoe getting used to using her new drysuit, Baxter was teaching a small group to use a Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB), and Pete was introducing a new diver to basic techniques. We didn’t film any of our members swimming lengths, and sadly, none of our mermaids were in the water that night.
So this was just an ordinary night – you’re always going to find a lot going on at ESAC.
